Credit to Dr. Bruce Wauchope and Justin Paul Abraham for some of the concepts presented here. Union theology is actually the viewpoint the church fathers held, making it an ancient and orthodox understanding of the gospel that has joy, power and challenging implications way beyond our modern (watered down) western evangelical understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. This message of the gospel is, in my opinion, the reason the apostles and early church changed the world without buildings or programs (or lots of seminaries). Set aside your biases and fears, knowing that Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth. Look through just this small sample of scriptures that suggest a mind-blowing, fantastic, celebratory relationship we already have with our God through Jesus Christ. We are in center of His love, for that is who He is!
