There are moments in the Kingdom when forgiveness is not just a gentle invitation, but a weighty place of governing with God. In this prophetic encounter I was challenged to take responsibility. Forgiveness is a governing principle that must be exercised. As you can also step into this experience, consider how Yahweh is inviting you to release others, receive grace for yourself, and walk in a fresh measure of Kingdom authority–by forgiving!

I heard in my heart: “You are seated in heavenly places but one of the main governing seats is the seat of forgiveness; you cannot govern or rule and reign with Me if you are not fully embedded in this seat….”
Then the next day, the Lord added: “You must not divert your light energy trying to get through others’ curtains and veils. It diverts and corrupts the Light you are receiving from ME, your Source.”
We have all been hurt for numerous reasons (some are our responsibility of course)…but while we are here on Earth, FORGIVENESS is a primary governing position/ seat in the heavenlies. That seat of governance is how our own veils collapse and we engage with Yahweh more intimately.
- Driven by love, with room for two, but you must sit on your own space. We think of thrones and governing seats as regal and perhaps elevated and rigid-very authoritative. Loveseats are more intimate, with room for two (me and Yeshua). I am not sitting on His lap, like a child, but rather being asked to sit beside Him and make ruling/governing decisions over my own heart. If I don’t govern my SELF well, it follows I am not ready to govern other things in creation. The seat of forgiveness (mercy seat) for SELF and others is, I believe, the first and most important place we grow in the spirit realm. Forgiveness is the primary evidence of our conscious awareness of our identity in Christ.
- Forgiveness of SELF is in tandem with forgiving others; we often struggle with others because we feel so much shame, regret, insecurity, guilt, etc. on ourselves. We can’t effectively forgive others when our own souls (or dark influences) are rejecting us: a divided house cannot stand, and a double minded man is unstable in all his ways.Unforgiveness is a denial of reality as well as unbelief. We really have no vote: it is already done, paid for. Our wicked deeds, as well as others’, have already been erased.
- Forgiveness is an expression of love. We are to become love. We are to become forgiveness.
- “Get comfortable and stay awhile”: forgiveness is a repeated governance exercise. Loveseats bring to mind roomy but cozy, upholstered, cushioned seats. They are not meant to be jumped in once and left. Forgiveness is an almost endless process while we are still dealing with soul and body issues. We need to forgive ourselves and others way (way) beyond what we ever imagined because the soul ruminates, marinates, and distorts life events. Our bodies also store these negative energies and perceived injuries, only to create havoc down the road. Many times, we don’t even connect the dots between our unhealed wounds/offenses and our physical, emotional, spiritual and relational troubles.
- I initially thought of the loveseat as solid gold with red velvet. But when I think about it more, I perceive it to be more like a prism, carrying all colors within it, always changing. I think this means that the nature of forgiveness is all encompassing and yet specific; it has frequency and light variation.
- Our life’s journey is to remember, discover, and reunite with what has always been: the light, life, and love of God through Jesus Christ. As we grow, we discover the veils, curtains, and blocks that remain in our souls until we become aware of them and choose to release them. We do this by letting go, not lifting or working them out. The frequencies of the lies/shadows/deceptions/3D realm naturally drop away as we rest in the high frequency peace of God, in full awareness of our identity.
- Our light and our power is diverted and corrupted if we gaze on anyone or anything besides the Lord. This most happens to me when I “see” the errors of those I love, including their unwillingness to receive these great truths. It is a human desire to want to be included, affirmed, understood, forgiven, honored…It is a Godly desire to want to share life giving revelations and help others avoid the pitfalls we have walked in. Our families are primary targets for these desires, of course. But this, too, proves itself to be a governing exercise. We need to stay so focused on the Light we are receiving from our Source, the Lord. The more secure we are in this relationship, we discover our own pain, insecurities, regrets, shame, anger, frustrations, fears (….) subside. We remember that God is the God of ALL, including our loved ones and our adversaries. We make the spirit, soul and body choice to trust, remain, rest, love, and worship Yahweh, knowing this process is refining us and bringing others into perfection as well.
- Re: the veils and curtains: I think the words I heard pertained to our souls…. when we NEED to connect or relationally penetrate others, it is a work of the soul, not the spirit. When we see others through our spirits, as we are whole and pure and need nothing from them, we will naturally share and shed our love, light, life of Christ outward and unto them. The distinction is nuanced (IMO) but important: bc we are still in process of forgiveness/mercy seat governing for SELF and others, we must treasure the revelation we have received and “womb” it into fullness within ourselves. To the extent we are still seeking fellowship, relationship, affirmation, etc. with others, we tend to lower our light/frequency bc we have unmet needs and that which was spiritual gets relegated to the soul level.
- Think about wearing crazy clothes (a hat or top, perhaps) that either don’t fit, looks ridiculous, or is hopelessly “not you.” We probably would throw this clothing out and certainly would be reluctant to wear these things in public! But when we allow veils and curtains to deceive us or distort our identity and worth in Christ it is like we are wearing crazy clothes and don’t even recognize it. We are all in this together, in God’s great cosmic process. Let’s let the veils and curtains before us drop off by means of our joyful authentic union frequency; we are unique and we don’t have to work or fight for this victory! This doesn’t have to be perfect, just recognized as true, for us to walk in it.

The encounter describes forgiveness not as a feeling, but as a governing seat — a place of ruling and reigning with God. Has that framing shifted how you approach forgiving yourself or others? Where do you find the hardest part: forgiving others, forgiving yourself, or staying in that seat instead of returning to familiar resentments? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
