Years ago, I struggled to “feel” God’s Presence. It seemed to me that others were walking in spiritual gifts and experiences that I could only watch from a distance.
One morning I cried out to Jesus in frustration that I had no one in my life (at the time) that could speak into “the more” of God I was seeking, no one to “lay hands” on me.
Suddenly I heard, very distinctly, “But My Beloved, isn’t MY embrace so much better?” I then felt Father God join in as Jesus literally took me in His arms.
It was a seminal moment in my faith walk. I “saw” clearly in that moment and it changed my life. I now realize this is the kind of never ending embrace we all get to experience if we awaken to His Presence and love for us.
