Have you ever been saddened that those you love most don’t seem to be “hungry for more” of what God is offering us? Be encouraged that the Lord knows how to create hunger and thirst in all His children.
I had been hurt and disappointed that the people I love most were seemingly disinterested in a more intimate walk with the Lord. The enemy of my soul had even planted seeds of doubt and shame about “why” they didn’t want to listen…
I then got a picture of a huge banquet table, with foods ranging from nuts and chips to the most exquisite salads, proteins, and desserts; nothing we can imagine was missing and it was all spectacular to behold and sample.
I then saw my loved ones-family and friends-huddled around the snacks and breads, what I considered “the lesser fare.” I wanted them to head over to the prime roasts and fantastic seafoods (not to mention the desserts!), but they were busy amongst themselves and I couldn’t even get their attention.
I then heard the Lord say: “Enjoy what I have shown you, what you are tasting of Me. My banquet is lavishly shared communally but it must be willingly and individually partaken and consumed.
So be content that all our loved ones are at My banquet. They all belong to Me, after all! Enjoy what you are tasting and trust Me to show them richer offerings as I know how to nurture awareness and hunger in them, just as I have done in you.”
