Kingdom Conversations

Fear loses much of its grip when we realize we have a say in what happens in our world and are given a way to use our voice. Concerns about politics, health, food and water, the economy, justice, safety, and freedom can leave us feeling powerless.

When we see darkness around us it actually gives us something tangible – and powerful – to do together. We can name the darkness at work, speak aloud in agreement about what must stop, and call forth what God desires to see take root in its place. This is Kingdom governance in action.

At Babel, God recognized what people could accomplish (for good or evil) when united around a common purpose (Genesis 11:6). Jesus shows us how to put that power to work for His Kingdom by agreeing in prayer and gathering in His name, where He promises to be with us (Matthew 18:19–20).

We have been given the keys to the Kingdom: let’s use them! (Mt. 16:19)

Every human being bears the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26–27). In Christ, we also discover what Paul calls kainos creation. We are made new (2 Corinthians 5:17) and seated with Christ in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6).

That changes how we face what’s happening around us. We begin to recognize who we are, the spiritual authority we share in Christ, and the purpose for which we’ve been given a voice.

God’s Kingdom is everlasting, and the increase of His government and peace will have no end (Isaiah 9:7). We have the privilege and responsibility of governing together in agreement with Him. The declaration below gives us words to speak together, whether around a kitchen table or across nations. We say “cease and desist” to what destroys, and we call forth God’s light, life, and love where they are needed most.

This is a declaration made with intention and faith. It must be spoken out loud, not just read silently. Optimally, it is spoken together with others because there is synergetic and exponential effects when God’s children are operating in union or unison. This is a spiritual legal process, it activates and invokes our rights as children of God. This framework can be adjusted to address the various sources of dark energy (evil) operating or attempting to operate.

SAMPLE KINGDOM MINDED GOVERNING PRAYER (out loud, spoken in faith)

• We see you (name the darkness) and your efforts to (what the darkness is trying to accomplish). Exposing the darkness is powerful.
• We know who we are in God and we hereby declare to you our identity as sons and daughters of the Most High God. (Applies to all human beings because all of us are made in the image and likeness of God. This is especially powerful for Christians because we are kainos, new creation beings.)
• We hereby say to you: “We do not consent. We deny your efforts to take our freedom, health, prosperity, unity, political representation, constitution, safety, ……”
• We do not judge you but we call for the justice of God to fall upon you. What you reap you will sow.
• We forgive you. It is not our place to judge you; only God can do that. But we are called to forgive ALL things so that we are set free and righteous and so the process of heaven’s justice will proceed unhindered.
• We call for replacement and restoration.
  • Instead of fear, we call forth confidence and trust and boldness in God
  • Instead of division, we call for unity and a gathering together of humanity
  • Instead of destruction, we call for healing and rebuilding and strength
  • Instead of disease, sickness and death, we call forth health, life, healing
  • Instead of poverty and lack, we claim the unlimited resources of our Father-God
  • Instead of deception and lies, we declare the truth will shine forth for all to see and embrace
  • Instead of power being abused politically, we demand righteous representation
  • Instead of terrorism, attacks, disruptions, we say the forces of light will protect us
  • Instead of corruption, we see a return to goodness, mercy, truth-telling and justice for all
• We celebrate God’s angelic forces that will assist us and come to our aid.
• We declare ourselves to be agents of our Father’s Kingdom: we declare light, love, and life because that is who God is.
• We glorify our Father-God, His Spirit, and His Son, Yeshua/Jesus who reign over all. God’s Kingdom is ever expanding and will have no end. May His Kingdom come, His will be done, on Earth as it is in Heaven. Amen.
