Living in Honor and Breaking Free From False Judgments – Dale Mast

What if some of the greatest obstacles to fulfilling our God-given purpose aren’t our weaknesses or failures, but the false judgments we’ve accepted about ourselves?

Many Christians carry a distorted view of their identity, reinforced by years of religious teaching that describes them as little more than “sinners saved by grace, doing better than they deserve.” It sounds humble, even pious, but concealed within that mindset is a subtle deception.

While grace is indeed the foundation of our salvation, continuing to identify ourselves primarily by our former sinful condition dishonors both the person God has redeemed and the Father who created us in His image. It overlooks what Scripture declares about our new creation identity, our union with Christ, our standing as beloved sons and daughters of God, and our mandate to mature into governing sons under the King.

“What you’ve been saved for is greater than what you’ve been saved from.” With that powerful statement, prophetic minister and author Dale Mast challenges us to move beyond a religious mindset focused on our shortcomings and discover who the Father created us to be.

“You’ll never find your identity looking in a mirror. You have to look in your Father’s face.” Through personal experiences of rejection, comparison, and emotional pain, Dale reveals how dishonor can distort our identity—and how the Father’s love restores our ability to recognize and express His life within us.

Perhaps most importantly, “Until you see yourself as the gift, you’ll never show up the right way.” This isn’t pride; it’s recognizing God’s workmanship and understanding that “A gift is never about you. It’s about blessing someone else.”

This compelling conversation invites us to reconsider humility, confront limiting beliefs, embrace healing, and move into greater Kingdom maturity—not merely knowing that we belong to God, but living as sons and daughters who reflect His nature and bless the world around us.
